Pain feels me like never before
The one who I loved and protected for so long is now gone
Gone with out reason and with out cause of his own.
They did this to hurt me
They did this to watch me suffer
They did this to see if they could get by with it
And for so long they have
Until now
Now is the end of this
End of this all
It ends with this death
That now brings another
Another that will show them that
This wolf will remain passive no more
That this wolf now howls vengeance
On thin air in this dark and moonless night
Eyes glowing
Mouth hanging slightly open
Ready for the throats of the ones who caused this
A new feeling, one I’m familiar with,
Begins to fill me taking the place of the pain and hurt
That moments before had filled me.
The anger rips through me like a hot knife through butter.
My eyes turn to slits seeing only the ones who brought this on me.
My body quickly becomes that of another as all feeling leaves me.
The other is the beast in side
So very hidden that even I had forgot where it lay
And yet now
Now it has woken
And it has one thing on its mind
Death
The death of those who would care less what another thinks of them.
Well let’s see how well they like their throats ripped out and spouting blood.
Their very hearts torn from their chest
Their sickening laughs never to be heard again.
I start off.
Body having had changed.
One clawed paw before the other.
Slowly I walk.
No faster and no slower than a walk
They see me coming yet can’t move
A growl comes from deep in my throat
As if on cue they all scatter
Like chickens in a barn yard with a dog running through
Those once frozen with fear now flee for their lives
My dark brown eyes are like those of a cat
With rings of yellow outlining the brown
My teeth shine white in the dark.
It begins to rain.
I laugh loving every minute of it.
Drops of rain falling of my fangs like blood
My thick, wet black fur is ruffled in the wind.
My claws click on the dirty mud filled road.
One squeaks with fear as I near
Then another flees right before me
Not more than a few steps before my huge body collides’ with theirs.
My teeth quickly stop the screaming and blood oozes into my mouth.
Foul blood of the one who killed the one close to me.
The other has already fled but I don’t worry.
His sent is still fresh in the air with the musk of fear all over it.
Walking off I glance back just to make sure the one is dead.
He is.
I continue
Around a corner and then another.
Through some houses into the woods
I follow my prey
Perfect.
No better place to hunt.
The sent gets stronger
As the prey fleeing before me slows
A branch has blood on it.
I sniff it and keep walking.
Taking my time to let it think it can get away
All the while hunting it as I would any other prey
I dip low and go under some bushes and I take a shorter route.
It is still ahead of me.
Uncontrollable anger begins to fill me again as
Images of my fallen friend flash before me.
I pick up my pace until I’m running.
I find the other not far off and
He flees, running for its life only to met death in the end.
I fly over the ground reaching Him before he can get more than a yard or more.
My claws dig into his back causing him to scream with terror and pain.
He begs for its life as I end I with a snap of his neck.
Lifting my head a howl escapes me telling of my vengeance taken and done with.
For the rest of the moonless night I, the beast, stay in the woods
Leaving the body
I prowl through the forest
I can’t go back
Not to humans anyways
I am now and always a beast of the night.
Ruled only by tooth and claw
Live or die.
Eat or be eaten.
I live to die.
Yet death never takes me as I live for the end.
